“The performance of the RinseKit PRO Immersion Heater is HORRIBLE. On first use, after about an hour it indicated the water was ready - but the water was still cold. After repeated attempts and about 6 hours trying to get this thing to work, it finally produced a warm water. One of the issues seems to be, it keeps turning from heating to ready mode - would need to check it every 20 minutes or so and shakeup the device to circulate the water so it would continue heating. After 6 hours of this, the water was warm - no thanks, not for the price of this thing. Also on a design note, the way this thing fits into the RinseKit Pro makes connecting it awkward - the electric plug connector will be right next to the spray hose and at a weird angle.”

“This heater does heat water on the 10 amp mode (12V adapter) and 7P trailer adapter at 20 amps, so it does heat water. Problems: 1) the design makes it such that it will only heat the water at the top of the water container. The manual says to only use the 20 amp when driving to 'slosh' the water around and mix the cold at the bottom with the hot at the top. This problem could have been easily solved by placing the heating element closer to the bottom of the water container and allowing convection to circulate the water. As it is you will only get hot water at the top of the water container, the bottom will be stone cold. 2) You must remove the heater to fill the container each time.
With all of this, and for the price I'm considering returning the heater. The Rinsekit Pro itself is fine, and I'm considering simply filling it with hot water before I head out surfing. If your out remote and wanting to heat the water, you will have to have your engine running and be willing to grab the unit by its handle and manually slosh the water around to avoid taking a freezing cold shower at the beginning.
This unit has a lot of potential, but this poorly designed heater could be a deal killer for some.”
