“On my 3rd Road Angle Pure since April, the 3rd one is still not working correctly but really can't be bothered going through another return / repair proceedure, expensive lesson learned.”
“Very disappointed and have sent it back it certainly didn't live up to my expectations. Its a poor design and the way the power connects to the unit and not the base unit its hardly portable having to faf about unplugged the USB2 cable is rubbish!! Yes USB2 not type C as required so it will NOT interface with anything else in the vehicle NO NOT for me!!”
“Road Angel Pure One is great in nearly every way. This one seems to connect to the network better than the previous Pure, which also constantly kept turning off due to "overheating" when you used it on a sunny day. I haven't use the Pure One on a sunny day yet so can't say whether this has improved. I also wish it had a setting to control the font ( bold / normal characters). My previous Pure also had a magnetic connector that the power cable was connected to. This one you have to plug the cable in the back of the unit every time you move it which makes it more awkward to connect to every time you get in and out of the car (a bit of a backward step in my opinion).”
“I have always been road angel user and find products excellent, the pure one is exception to this as I was upgrading from pure to pure one, 1st issue is you have to plug power into unit, one pure you can plug into base, this means you can hide unit away when not using, you can do on the one but have to plug in each time. I had issue with unit saying weak power every time I started so did not work sometimes. I returned unit for refund and went back to the pure which is fine. Other issue is to returns are good and easy apart from charging you a restocking charge. I am still waiting refund. Solution is to make charge through the base like the pure”
“In general the Road Angel is accurate,it has a good clear screen & is fairly intuitive. On the down side it can take a while to pick up a satellite. Subscriptions are quite expensive but are essential to the unit working.”
“Only used once then went wrong. Sent back to Road Angel and was received by Road Angel on 2nd may for repair . As of todays date (24 may)have had no information as of when I will receive it back. Have now lost almost one months subscription”
