“This was purchased on clearance to get the angle adjustment needed for mounting the RR antenna to an angled roll bar. Now I know why this was on clearance: the RR antenna base fitting underneath will not fit! I had to dremel it to make more space just to fit the RR base antenna wire fitting. To add more frustration, the ground wire ring doesn’t fit and you need to cut the ring off and just shove wire in there to make a ground connection. Just horrible for antenna install. And to add gas to this fire, I had to really tighten the NMO base connector on top to get the ground wire to hold underneath and this caused those upper brass treads to start to strip and I lost my antenna on my first trail. :-( Just not an “out of the box” solution. Need a lot of custom modifications to this mount just to add the RR antenna. Do not buy this if you expect no modifications for antenna installs; honestly RR should stop selling it.”

However, in our defense, at the very top of the listing for that heavily discounted Antenna Mount, it does state the following: "A very slight mis-manufacturing issue has resulted in our loss and your gain! Please refer to the images. The image with the red circle shows the location that needs to be modified. Just a bit more depth to the valley where the Coax Cable lies and you are good to go! The image with the red arrow shows how it sits without the modification. Without the modification, it is not recommended using this antenna mount with most coax cables. A Dremel and a moment of your time is worth the savings. And this product works fantastic to obtain to proper degree on your antenna."
