No installation instructions/video for the top mount option. Kid that answered the phone at tech support didn't seem to know that they sold a kit with this option, or where I should route the wires. "Ya know just get them down below then install like the other videos." Seriously disappointed right now; hopefully once we magic it in place it will be worth the hefty price tag.

This antenna does a great job of extending the range on my V3 handhelds. The magnet is holding strong for me and the cable itself is a lot smaller than your typical coax which makes it just a bit easier to route (besides the larger connector end).

The base is only 2 inches across and the antenna mast is kind of light, compared to most other mobile antennas but it does well on a UVT. The range is far superior to using the handheld rubber ducky antenna. The magnet on the base is very strong and works well for the size and weight of the mast. Time will tell the durability of this unit.

It avoids over the top-of-the-head bands, ear pieces yanking on ears or clothing, and other things. This band goes behind your head, below your hat band (!), and won't sqeeze on your temples. The earpieces do cover your ears, but you can hear ambient sounds anyway. Boom mic was something that I hadn't wanted to return to, but they're really not a problem. We chose to purchase "fuzzy" furry microphone covers, to reduce wind noise, formerly a big problem with boom mics we've used. Well made, not flimsy. Nice zippered semi-hard case.

$140 dollars to mount comms might be perceived as expensive, but I have to say the final product outcome is well worth it. You've spent a lot of money up to this point, saving $100 isn't in the cards. Buy this and be done. Doesn't come with directions? here they are 1) clean out your box. 2) hold multi mount plate outside of the glovebox 3) send your drill into the corners 4) take nut, washer bolts and install into face multi mount 5) drill a crap ton of small holes along the inside of the bracket perimeter 6) take razor knife or snips and cut between drilled holes 7) panic that you cut a big hole and it kind of looks rough 8) mount the radio/intercom to the insert and use the allen bolts to mount the insert to the multi mount frame 10) hook up all your wiring/antenna (might need to drill hole larger to fit all the wires as the oem drain hole wont fit all the cables) 11) test your stuff to make sure it works 12) lay the new soon to be floor plate on top of the electronics, push it down until it bottoms out on the fixed corner pocket (make sure the screw hole tabs are facing up) 13) install the self tap screws in the 3 spots (easier if you drill a small pilot hole) 14) you're done, enjoy your rugged radios system in you can am maverick sport. I hope they print this out and put it in the package for the official instructions, because ya know... there aren't any! Remeber: you CAN do it. -Team Pistelak

I bought a set of two and a single headset and daisy-chained them together. Still using my RadioShack tr80 scanner and these headsets had no trouble with it. The noise canceling was top notch as was the push to talk sound. Granted I have only used these for the one weekend so far and me and my nephew and great nephew thought they were definitely worth the money thanks again Les S.
