“These radios are great when road tripping with a group. I'm thinking of installing a mobile radio in my truck now as well. We usually were able to talk to each other as long as we were within 5 miles of each other. (As long as there wasn't a mountain between us) we only heard one outside person on our group channel in 10hrs.”

Great to hear this feedback! Purchasing a mobile unit will only give you that much more power to transmit to your group! Try giving GMRS channel 19 a go. Its the highway channel for cruising and meeting new people! Our CEO always says "You meet the nicest people on the radio."

“Customer service, fantastic!!! I purchased 2 hamd held GMR2 units. They work really well. Don't quite get out as far as I would like but farther than your normal walkie-talkie. I need to look into purchasing the stronger antenna, everyone tells me to get. It's an additional 30 bucks. Should make that an option when purchasing, this antenna or that one.”
