This radio came set on narrow band. The manual doesn't tell how to switch to wide band. I have been trying for hours and have not been able to figure it out.

My friend and I used this at the 2022 Rolex 24 and it was awesome! The noise cancelling feature works better than I expected. It brought the sound level of the noisy cars way down, yet I was able to hear the voice of IMSA radio more clearly. As an endurance race spectator, this will always be in my backpack when I go to the races.

My wife and I have not had the opportunity yet to try these out while riding in our side-by-side. However we have tried them out in our home and property. They rest comfortably on your head without filling tight but they are very secure. Crystal clear communications! The dual talk absolutely makes these just like you’re speaking on a cell phone - unbelievably clear. Yes they are expensive but yes you’re getting the best in the business… Anyone seriously looking for this type of technology you will not be disappointed.

I already had 2 V3’s and bought this as an additional radio. I love the simplicity of the keypad vs the V3 and I love the new USB charger cable. The only thing I didn’t like is that it is now more difficult to access all the stations. With the V3, you can simply press the up arrow quickly and get to all the stations. With the R1, you only have access to 10 stations at a time; then you have to go into the settings and change to another bank of stations before you can access the next series of stations. It’s not intuitive and easy as with the V3. Other than that, it’s a great radio. The footprint is also a bit bigger than the V3, but I actually like it better when I hold it.

The unit is perfect for the outdoors and all the accessories allows for so many choices. Terrain does play havoc on the signal but that is sorta expected just didnt expect such a limited range in the mountains. The bad: If its cold it will not work. we ride all winter long in SxS or snowmobiles and this was bought for that. It wont turn on if its cold and that is a poor design for sure. Rugged and works in the right conditions.... Wishing I had not spent $200 plus going this route.

Ordered and paid extra for shipping and did not receive the radio. After trying to contact customer service multiple time I finally talk to someone only to find that it’s out of stock. I think this site needs updated to let you know if what your ordering is in stock or not because I would of went with a different model knowing that.

I work at a new company at a local airport these radios far exceeds any other radio we had prior, the digital feature allows us to be heard from around the entire airport! Great product

Static in all 30 preset channels. Choppy audio when communicating(We used these at about 50' apart from each other while offroading). I'll never buy another v3 again.
