We got so fed up with buying the rubbish that is called bacon from supermarkets so decided to give this a go. No water or white stuff came out and it crisped up lovely. Reminded us both of when we were a lot younger. The bonus was using the small amount of fat left in the pan to spread on fresh bread - yum!

I ordered this to go with the Christmas turkey and alsthough it was a good tasting bacon, it was very wet out of the pack and shrank to less than half the size when cooked. Very disappointing - I can buy better in the supermarket.

I'm in two minds about this bacon. On the one hand it is tasty and the smoke is well judged. On the other, it is difficult to believe that this is proper dry-cured bacon. It throws off significant quantities of water and shrinks alarmingly in the pan.
