“I have been ordering our Christmas turkey from Salter and King for a few years now. it is always delivered well packaged in an insulated box, beautifully trimmed. Easy to cook without the meat drying out. Always succulent and tasty. Not cheap but so worth the money for a great, locally produced, high welfare product.”

“Over the Christmas and NY holiday we worked our way, with family and friends, through a free range turkey, free range oak smoked gammon, dry aged rib of beef on the bone and a boned and rolled loin of pork. Each was exceptional. Looking forward to repeating the order next Christmas, and to the many lamb cutlets i hope to enjoy in the meantime!”

“Given the rave review I posted last January, I had expected to be able to post similar comments this year. Unfortunately, I cannot. The bird I received this year was not so beautiflly presented - it wasn't well plucked, here were tears in the skin, several bruises and the back of the bird still had quite a few feather stubs remaining.The one saving grace? It tasted good.”

“My first time order with Salter King - the website was clear and concise but informative, the birds looked and sounded great and the order process was simple. I received great communication from the moment of placing the order through to confirmation of despatch and the turkey arrived exactly as promised. In all my years of buying the turkey from local growers, I can honestly say that I have NEVER seen a better bird - beautifully presented, no bruises, no skin tears from careless plucking and a separate sealed bag with the giblets. When cooked, the bird was even better than I could have hoped for - beautiful firm flesh, moist and flavoursome. We dined like kings and there was more than enough to feed our family for several days. Can't thank the team at Salter Kind enough or recommend more highly and I will certainly buy from them again.”

“I was extremely happy with my purchase from Salter and King. Everything was communicated to us about delivery of the turkey and everything went according to plan. I found their website extremely easy to use and was extremely happy with the bird that was delivered it tasted absolutely fabulous. My only negative would be that it did not come with giblets or the offer of any sides. But would definitely purchase again purely based on how fantastic it tasted”
