A brilliant kit. The items in the kit made the research authentic. It brought the stories of soldiers to life. The items captured the children's attention. However, the research material was more suited to higher levels.

Wow! This is a brilliant and engaging resource. The students - and other teachers - have thoroughly enjoyed discovering the stories behind these artefacts. We have only scratched the tip of the iceberg but it has brought the history of WW1 to life in a way that is real to the students. Our school is attached to a College and we can directly relate some of these stories to some of our older students - it brings it home that these were real young men from local areas.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the Walking with an ANZAC kit? Students loved being able to choose their object and then do their own research into ";their"; person.
This is a very valuable resource, that can be used over and over. The only problem is students did struggle to read the cursive writing. But those that were really engaged took this on as a challenge and managed to decipher it.

An amazing resource that worked extremely well to engage students. Having the tangible object created huge interest for my students. The website was amazing, leading students on a research quest to discover the story behind the object. The layout of the website was very user friendly and the links were invaluable. This kit tied in perfectly with our WW1 focus and gave students another perspective of the consequences of conflict.
