What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the Walking with an ANZAC kit? The class was highly engaged with the school kit. They all created haiku poems and shared what they learned and created with the school at assembly.
Another amazing school kit. The resources, hooked the class. They learned so much and asked a lot of questions which was great. The class checked out the online cenotaph records and from that they started looking up whanau who served in the wars. They talked to whanau at home and created mini inquiries on their loved ones. Gone but not forgotten. Thank you for putting this kit together. I will be using for years to come. The ways the kit could be used is great.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the Walking with an ANZAC kit? My students loved this and where highly engaged. It was awesome to hear them discussing their soldiers and what they had been through. When we’re under attack while we researched our soldier. My students loved this. Some built forts while others happily w
The box had brilliant resources in it. Make sure you look at the online resources and links throughly so you understand what parts are together as some of mine were put together in the bag and not all of them belonged together. The quality of the items are amazing. The researching support for the students was good. Like how you had enough for each of my students and they didn’t need to double up.

Room 4 has loved this kit. We unpacked it whilst in the middle of a war, sitting in trenches with war zone sound effects going and eating Anzac biscuits. They have researched their soldiers and produced infographics using the Visme webpage. The students I thought would find it hard have actually been some of the ones to go the extra mile. The posters and how we search guide were awesome. Can’t wait for the next kit we can explore.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the Walking with an ANZAC kit? Student engagement was high, fascinated with items, made it very real. they were very enthusiastic about digging deeper and discovering the story behind the item.
This kit was awesome. The items were interesting , appealing and recreated in such a way they were just like the original. I was really impressed with the quality. Student engagement was high and I thought the children learnt so much more about the sacrifice our ANZACS made because the people were made more real through this approach. Thank you.

What did you notice about student engagement in the learning with the Walking with an ANZAC kit? Students were highly engaged with the 'unboxing' and 'wondering' stage of our exploration of this resource. However, they struggled to maintain engagement when we were exploring the online resources as the reading level of most of the resources was too hi
I really appreciated the beautiful resources provided in this kit. They stimulated rich discussion and questioning with my Year 6 class, but we did really struggle with taking it to the 'next level'. We explore the sites linked to the resources but most of my students did not have the reading level required to really understand the information The handwriting and notes of the resources themselves were very difficult even for me to decipher (many students found it impossible. Having had a lot of experience with teaching at intermediates I would suggest that this kit would be best for Year 8 students. That said, the resources did enrich our learning. Each student did find more information about their chosen object and we created some beautiful ANZAC art in response to our engagement with this kit. Thank you for everything you do!

We found it really useful especially the charts with all the info because that was most appropriate for the type of work we are doing in the senior school. When I teach at the Junior level again I will definitely use all of the resource.
