How did this kit help your students to discuss the idea of multiple perspectives? The kit had so many great ideas on how to start. Multiple ways to use this kit and ideas in the curriculum, which is what we did. The objectives are always great and easy to follow and expand on.

How has this kit changed your perspective on teaching NZ History? I love that the kits encourage the students to experience NZ History rather than just learn about it.

“It can be hard for students in Year 7 to grasp historiography and the impact it has on our views of the past. This kit gave such a fantastic insight into the Tuia Commemorations and also encouraged the students to consider history with some caution.”

How did this kit help your students to discuss the idea of multiple perspectives? Showing students more than what they know was great; Each child had limited prior knowledge, based on bias' passed on through family. The kit was a great safe way to explore both sides of the story

How has this kit changed your perspective on teaching NZ History? I found it easier to show how important perspective is on NZ history; quite often it can feel one sided. This kit reminded students that there are two sides to every story.

Seeing the same point from more than 2 perspectives - so you're seeing 4 or 5 for example - was hugely beneficial. I feel I'm teaching this subje

“A quality kit. I really found this kit super interesting to teach and I know the children were fully engaged and motivated to learn more about our history and how it affects us now. We are still continuing with the kit many weeks later as we keep finding new tangents to head off into. Cannot recommend this kit enough - each NZ classroom should look into it.”
