“This was an awesome resource to accompany our inquiry this term. It made for lots of oral language rich learnings. The tamariki loved learning some of the te reo components to the farms. It was a great tool for our statistical investigations.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them My students have autism and are minimally verbal, so I am afraid I do not have student voice.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves plus the instructions as this covered literacy and numeracy and showed the progression in problem solving skills throughout the term.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Greater creativity when building with blocks instead of just randomly putting bricks together

“This was such an awesome resource. I did not use all the attached activities with it, but used it more for fine motor skills, following instructions and sharing/taking turns and playing together skills. It was great to see how some of my students could follow the instructions with minimal support.”

“This was an awesome Kit! My tauira loved having a hands on apporach to their learning. We used this kit to help foster our learning of farming in our area. With many links to Te reo Maori, learning the difference between animals that live on farms and in a zoo. We also used this to look at what different farms produce and designing their very own farm.”
