Student 1 - I liked building the truck with my big buddy. He helped me. He showed me how to do the tricky parts.Students 2 - I have some of these at home, not all of them. It was hard to make but I kept trying
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The Te Reo aspects was very helpful for me as I am early on in my te reo journey. They were easy to use and something that I will use with future classes.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
The oral language that come from all the discussions around who had these at home, while building the different things and through the play that continues everyday has been valuable. .

How important is it to you that classroom resources are made from recyclable materials and are reusable?
How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy?
As we are a Structured literacy school and follow a scope and sequence our literacy looks completely deferent now to what it has been in the past. We did not do any writing based off the bricks but we did do a lot of orally - we know that oral language is the stepping stone of literacy so it has played a vital part this way.
