Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks themselves and the instructions. Was able to see who could build the bricks from the pictures given.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They loved building a class farm and collectively adding more to it throughout the term.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The bricks were most impactful for the children. The other components will be useful for years particularly in reo Maori teaching.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The kit arrived at a stressful time in our team, so it added lots of fun for the children. They continue to play with these.

“The Bricks Farm kit arrived while we were in a big collaborative play space. We set up a farm area that children added sets to each day. They are lego mad so were very excited. What is great about this kit is all of the elements that I will use over and over again, such as the te reo Maori cards and the Kei te...mat. When I first got the kit my children were a little young to make full use of it. They loved building and rebuilding the sets and we talked about farms. Now my year 2s can read the cards to play games and discuss their ideas.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Wow - we are so lucky! This is the best building Lego, especially the truck!

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The building of the Lego because it was such a novelty to have in the class.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It was fun, we get to play with the Lego Farm as a play based learning activity and the students understand that food is grown on farms and transported to supermarkets where we buy them.

“What a fantastic initiative! We used this with a mix of Year 1 and Year 5 students and peer collaboration to build the components was great. The older students helped the younger ones to build the Lego and then role-played along with them with the farming aspect. A huge hit all round!”
