Lots of requests to use kit during the play based learning component of the day. Encouraged lots of discussion between students, sharing, taking turn, managing self etc. This kit was useful for an ESOL student who enjoyed locating the different animals and making the noises they made. They are now including the animal names and sounds into their stories.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The cardboard puzzle and the bricks - able to be creative and independent with this equipment. It has also been used with other classroom equipment - other cars and plastic animals.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
You don't have to prescribe to using the equipment in one way. They have dismantled some vehicles and combined them with others to create something new.
