They loved that they were able to use 'lego' in 'real learning' and not just free choice/golden time. Once the initial 'hype' was over, we had the countdown bricks out in our 'construction toy' area and it was often a key source of role play, as well as team work by working together to build their little creations. A class rule was that all creations would be broken down by the creators at the end of each week, so the bricks could be shared.
