Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The lego bricks - it was someting that all the kids could relate too. Some had a lot of lego experience and some had limited which really excited them.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? We used it as a gateaway to explore all types of farming, used videos and family connections, which made the writing deeper as the kids really enjoyed the topic

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The children liked the tokens with animals and farm items and the actual lego the most. These had the most student engagement.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The children continue to request to play with the activities during wet lunch times or free play sessions.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy? I have a lot of ESOL learners so this kit provided great oral language opportunities and provided the children with more vocabulary to be used in a fun setting.

“The children loved to play with the Countdown bricks and had fun building their own farms. They enjoyed interacting with different activities. We struggled to fit in the activity due to our collaborative teaching approach and school requirements. We have had to draw out the teaching but the children have enjoyed when we have done this. A lot of the kit was taught during our "free play" sessions where children opted in to the learning.”

“The tamariki in my class have loved using the lego. I also collected the supermarket lego when it was being handed out. My class is so creative with the lego, but their favourite thing is to design and make farms. Thank you very much for the fabulous resource.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Using Countdown Bricks Farm was awesome! It helped me understand math better because we used the LEGO bricks to solve problems. The LEGO farm kit was so cool! I liked building the farm and creating stories with the animals.
