Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The oral language discussion that happened around farms, produce, where food comes from was highly valuable. While playing with the bricks, the students were also having to negotiate, share, create imaginative storylines. They have now pulled the farm
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
bricks are lots of fun and can be remade in many different ways. (I will also rebuild the farm at a later date so it can be used to prompt farm/produce type discussions again with a different class.)

How important is it to you that classroom resources are made from recyclable materials and are reusable?
How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy?
With Year 1/2 students, it was most effective with oral language or visual/drawings as they were unable to read the game instructions or cards independently. We did do quite a bit of learning around the Te Reo names for animals and food too.
