Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The Lego pieces because they were able to physically demonstrate the processes that farmers go through.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
They are still creating farms and selling food to each other. All tamariki have an understanding of where food comes from. They are now able to name more vegetables and have been very brave at tasting new vegetables.

How did the context of farming allow your learners to explore and develop literacy?
We had words displayed on the farm and tamariki were able to add these into their writing. We also used this resource for maths - making maths addition, subtraction stories and for general counting.
