What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? It made us take careful notice of any unconscious bias we may have and how we can combat that. My students loved creating their actions plans and seeing them be achieved.

This was a great kit to take part in, my students learnt a lot through all the different kinds of activities. They were engaged and were comfortable participating in all the activities I selected, there was a great range to suit all students. The content was very good for my year 8 class.

I think doing it multiple times might see me learning more and more about my stude
Really great discussions and learning for my class and myself to get into some nitty gritty conversations. I will definitely be using some of the activities for the start of next year as we get to know each other in a new class setting and to establish a solid classroom culture that fits my new class of 2020. It was interesting that my class knew all about stereotypes even if they hadn't had a name for them.

I am a teacher in a year 7 class and we usually really get into the School Kits, but this one they really struggled to understand and get involved with. It was an awkward topic for many kids to share about so it was unfortunately not very successful for us and we left out many activities due to this.

I enjoyed the unit as a whole. The students were particularly engaged in the dictionary game.

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? Talking about names and pronunciations was great and my students enjoyed looking further into other cultures in our community.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? My students were a lot more careful about the words they were using around each other. They were more interested in other cultures and enjoyed exploring these.
An interesting kit with a lot of complex ideas. Very interesting delivering the content to a majority European students. Many interesting conversations were had and lots of connections explored.

What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? The action plan supported our classroom with restorative processes we already have in place.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? We had worked hard to create a caring and supportive environment during Term One and Two and the resource kit supported this work and allowed us to open discussions around culture, diversity, and difference,
We had some really interesting discussions about stereotypes and the damages of these to our classroom culture. It was a very useful kit to help open some of these conversations. Thanks, School kit!
