What impact has the introduction of the action plan had on your classroom? The action plan was an engaging way to involve all students to achieve the outcomes of the kit. Because the activities were personalised, all students felt the learning was relevant to them.
How did using this kit change the environment in your classroom? The kit has helped my students become aware and inclusive of all identities that make up their world. My students have become more confident in their identities and open to discuss other viewpoints.
The content of the set was well planned. The students were challenged to explore their ideas on identity. The ";Whānau Interview', that collected information about where we live, and where we're from extended the classroom learning from the classroom and into the children’s’ lives. The topic would be good to extend across all learning areas. I am planning on using this again for my new year level next year. Thank you for providing an engaging unit for students to learn about racism.

A great kit that helped our students understand the world around them in regards to acceptance. The activities were enjoyed by the kids. The discussions created more unity and acceptance of others opinions. There was a lot to cover so next time I would allow more time for more in depth learning in some areas.

This was a fantastic kit. Created really interesting discussions about stereotyping and racism. My class has 11 different ethnicities in it and it was great to learn about different beliefs and values. We learned that some of our students names were not being pronounced correctly and one of our first action plans was to change this. The kids made a massive effort with this and did a great job!
