“Was challenging in a reallu good way. The global and local sheets were great to use during lockdown as selfmanaged research prompts. Some of the other resources were less successful (stereotype pictionary was too obvious and students actively tried not to use stereotypes, some of tje global sheet links were hard to find and woukd have been better to hyperlink directly on the pdf).”

In what ways did this kit empower your students to challenge racism? I am not sure it empowered them to challenge racism as such. It probably opened their eyes to the fact that racism is borader than some of them probaly knew and opened their eyes to different groups of people.

How effective was the use of social Media for Fighting Social Injustice We did not focus too much on the instragram side of things.

In what ways did the Teacher Journal challenge you? I did not really use it a lot. We mostly used the posters as starters to exploring different forms of racism in NZ and as a springboard to inquiry due to constraints of time.

“This is a well constructed kit with a lot of variety. The posters were fantastic for students to explore and extend their horizons and understnading beyond what they thought they knew. Due to the nature of the last term we did not get to use the kit to its full potential but have plans to intergrate it into the teaching and learning for next year.”
