Due to lockdown I have not been able to use this kit. I did have a good look at it though. Being a teacher of Year 3 and 4 I could see I would have to adapt it quite a bit to use with my class. I felt it was better suited for a Year 5/6 level. Kind of feel that all my students and myself have been learning resilience during this time, without needing to teach it!!

This kit was incredible to receive and put together in the classroom. I put the display up straight away and we took our time getting into it. The children really enjoyed and were challenged by the booklets. The letters from someone special were really tricky - not all of my children were able to get one back from and I've still got them as they're trapped at school. My intention is to write to these children but it's still not the same. We spent lots of time talking about the different cards that the children would read and use after their 'check in' - these were tricky! Most of the cards took a lot of explaining. We will continue to use this resource for the rest of the school year and with lots of practice, they will hopefully be able to use the shrink and boost cards more independently.

The design is good, school kit planning sheet good. A good collection of ideas around the topic of resilience, but I found they were not really suitable for my age level (Y5/6) or too beyond them in terms on interests and experiences. The recharge station was a complex system that emulated simpler systems already in class. I passed it on to a colleague in Y7/8 who was working with another 7/8 teacher who also got one from a 5/6 teacher.

Good kit and some good tool to teach the idea of building resilience as it is a tough one to teach with practical resources so I liked the approach. Unfortunately we did not get to deliver enough of it due to camp and school closure.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? There are some great ideas, I haven't implemented these yet.
I loved the ideas in this kit, it came early in the year and had lots of time to get into the activities. I have had an unusual year with some extremely challenging behaviours, therefore I have struggled to run my normal programme let alot an Inquiry uint. I have not started this kit yet

We had started to use the kit and the children were really involved and 'buying in' with the activities. We have of course not been able to complete the activities at this stage but I thought that we might review some of the activities and possibly complete aspects that might be useful later - once school has resumed for normal instruction.

I loved this kit. I used the resources to fit with our over-arching inquiry topic of Identity so it really supplemented my programme.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kids LOVED the cards with things to do after check in. The parents liked being involved in the process with the letter home etc. Our school has a focus of building resilience within our students - my principal was very excited to see the kit.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It was great. We didn't get to use it much, but the children were already using the language from the kit when talking to me and each other.
This kit was fantastic. We didn't get much of a chance to get into it, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However the children were showing genuine enthusiasm in regards to it, particularly the check in.
