How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? It gave students the chance to reflect on themselves and understand their emotions more. This meant that they could start taking control of regulating their emotions and gained positive self-confidence from this.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? This kit gave the opportunity to open up conversations about how unique we all are and the importance of that. It was great as there were components of conversation as well as reflection.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? By giving them real strategies to apply there and then in the classroom, not just ideas.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The biggest success has been setting up a confidential way for kids in 'the red zone' to communicate with me, or at least to understand that they need to talk to someone if they are struggling.

“This has been a mainstay of my classroom this year. I have used it as the foundation for all further work on resilience, growth mindset, emotions, and relationships. The easy visuals and accountability of 'putting in your tab' has been easy to follow and a great success, thank you!”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students really found the circle of influence a very useful, visual tool. The booklets were great and the traffic light colours fit well with Zones of Regulation which several of our more challenging students are familiar with.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I am lucky in that the majority of my students and I have a great relationship, and they will tell me what is on their minds, willingly (sometimes more than I need to know!) This kit has helped those few who were reluctant, be able to open those lines.

“My students enjoyed checking in and learning about resilience. We were, unfortunately, in the middle of a very disrupted term, however, it did add to the resilience learning of my students. This kit was easy to use, kept the students interested and was, yet again, a great learning experience from School Kit. We have been fostering a ";I can do it"; attitude, where making mistakes is not on okay, it is expected. Growing self-confidence in pre-teens is always a tricky deal, but thanks to School Kit we had extra tools to use!”

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has added to the communication pool where students are able to let me know how they feel without having to verbally check in

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check-in box is a really quick way to gauge how my students are feeling, and if there's anything I should be aware of at home or school.

“This has been such a valuable resource in my classroom. We have used the charging station cards to guide our circle time lessons and teach the children about empathy, resilience and self-confidence. The daily check in box is a great way for me to keep on top of any issues that children may not feeling comfortable sharing in a conversation.”
