How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kit is easy to interact with and learners quickly learn how to take steps to better their well-being.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Often our learners who are not feeling great go under the radar. This was a great tool to use to communicate with those learners. They loved the red forms.
Learners enjoyed the ";check in's"; wall and it was a great way to foster a caring class environment. It was also a great way to start the day and know how your learners were feeling. Learners loved the little booklet too.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? This kit tied in nicely with the Zones of Regulation focus that we have been having over Terms 2 and 3. Wall space was a bit of an issue in my classroom but I was pleased I made space for it.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It was helpful for developing students' confidence to be honest about how they were feeling (checking in) - especially those who are quieter in class.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? To be honest, very little. We struggled to get our teeth into this kit with the lockdown and having a move within our school. I wish I had been able to do it more justice. Now that I have the resources however I know I can give it another go.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Some students engaged in using the red slips when they needed extra support, others did not and used our school PB4L systems.
An interesting time to have used this kit… upon its arrival we were moved classrooms, and then lockdown 2.0 hit! It was a challenge to get this kit up and going with these factors - I know I would have been able to put more ‘oomph’ into it if these things hadn’t of happened. Unfortunately priorities changed and I don’t feel I did this kit justice, which is a shame as it has many positive reviews online.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The students use the charging station to boost others and talk with them rather than just moan to me, so I guess they are more actively aware of their responses to situations and more understanding of others. Students have found their personal voice.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students who were reluctant to share how they were feeling can do this now in a confidential and quiet way. I check the station for red cards often throughout the day and we have only had two red cards filled in.
Tēnā Koutou, We had been fortunate enough to get most of the way through our Dove Self Esteem kit before lockdown struck. Wwe will continue with it into Term 4 as our focus is on emotional literacy and this gives us a good platform to do that. Feedback on the booklet, online resources, charging station and personal letters for students: Online resources were good but perhaps a little above the understanding of my Year 4 students when they talked about the perception of others (as this is not a tangible I can get that). All my students loved the charging station and remind others to use it if required throughout the day (this will be staying up for the remainder of the year and possibly introduced to next years class as well) , the personal letters for each student were a gem and the kids were genuinely blown away by the comments written for them by whanau members, the booklet has been the most difficult for students to get their heads around eg values gained from others (again not tangible so a difficult concept). Overall I would definitely recommend this kit for Year 6-8 in the primary sector and it has been a valuable introduction to how we see our selves, how others see us and how we can lift others up (we use the term -to fill others mana kete). Thankyou for this wonderful resource and both my class and I are looking forward to our next one.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The students really enjoyed talking to their loved ones about their strengths and for many it was the first time they had talked to their parents about this.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Charging station, daily checkins and red letter. Really impressed with the feedback received from their loved one about their strengths. The tokens became less used as students opened up verbally about how they were feeling.
My class really enjoyed the concepts taught in this unit. The daily checkin's helped especially after lockdown. Students were open and honest. It was great to talk about lots of different issues. They especially liked taking home the survey for their parents or loved one. The feedback they got was awesome.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? My students have really enjoyed the booklets and reflecting about their strengths and what makes them unique.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? We haven't been able to user the charging station to it's full potential because of lockdown and other things happening at school, but I am planning to continue using it next term.
A great kit. Unfortunately, because of lockdown our lessons got interrupted but we are continuing with our learning in term 4 to get the most of of the kit. My students have especially loved the booklets and the videos around self-confidence and self-worth.

Students loved the check in box: found the wall wasn’t as effective so took it down. Will continue to use the check in box and cards in the future.

The charging wall gave the children permission and opportunity to acknowledge their feelings and rather than not dealing with their emotions, they were able to use the tools discussed as a class or from the charging station to boost themselves or others.

Checking in with the students in the red each day was beneficial to both student and teacher as issues arising were dealt with earlier and those students who just wanted a little attention or a listening ear were able to receive it in a timely positive wa
A fantastic resource that really engaged the students. The quality of the resources was high. The booklet was easy for the students to follow and encouraged deeper conversations about our well being and the well being of others. The whole class especially enjoyed the charging wall, using it every day. The ideas in on the cards were practical and easy for the students to understand and use. Bringing their feelings and issues to attention and learning tools to deal with them helped to build resilience.
