How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The tamariki were able to understand the importance of a closed circuit for energy to travel and light a bulb. They testified this by breaking the circuit to realising that energy can only flow through a closed pathway.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? To be honest, the students loved the Wednesday afternoon class as they knew the teachers will be working them through the Power It Up kit. They would proactively get organised and waiting for the teacher to tell them what they were going to do. Amazing!
“The Power It Up Kit was awesome. The Tamariki so very much enjoyed working on it. We had completed only 3 of them and then the lockdown again. Hoping to continue with the circuits once we are back up and running in our studios. Tena koe to the sponsors for providing such a fantastic opportunity to the learners to explore the Power It Up Kit.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? We think that this is quite hard to measure as our kids struggled to get engaged with this particular kit.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Our students didn't really engage with the charging station even though we tried our very best to get them to do so.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Encouraged students to talk about their feelings and actually properly identify what they were feeling.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students were more likely to ask questions about feelings when they were feeling a certain way. The cards prompted discussion as they didn't understand some of the concepts or quotes on some of them.
“I found this kit helpful for starting conversations around thoughts and feelings. I did find that having year 4 children, some of the concepts on the cards were a little confusing for them. The kit did take a lot of setting up and required lots of space, but this wasn't an issue as it was well outlined when you signed up for the kit. I found the check in token box the most effective part for my age group.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Being aware of how they are feeling with visual prompts and also that others may be feeling differently and that's ok was a real game changer for our tamariki.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? This worked really well - especially for those tamariki who often find verbalizing their feelings difficult. This was a way for them to feel heard by their learning leaders.
“The Dove Self Confidence Kit was a real hit with the tamariki in our learning center. They were able to explore and articulate feelings and even began to identify things which made them feel particular ways - and develop ways to work with this. The hands on aspect of the kits was great - letting tamariki take charge of where they were at in any particular time.”
