While it did encourage discussions around identity, values, emotions and feelings (which is valuable in itself), I did not notice overt changes, but it did allow students to develop healthy habits around self-reflection and identifying emotional triggers.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication?
I think having shared language around self-reflection (such as the 'charge up' concept) meant that students were more capable of expressing what they were feeling so that we can discuss how to move forward.
