How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? the charging station was difficult to use as we have some students who were very reluctant to share where they were, also with such a large class (several combined with one kit)

“We used the kit with year 4-6 students as the kit was intended, but it kind of morphed as we worked through it to a ";Celebrate our differences"; unit. The students really enjoyed the unit and I will definitely use it again.”

“So many great activities. This kit worked really well with my Year 7 class and the activities were engaging and great for self-reflection. Students really enjoyed the 'My Self' journal and the recharge information.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kit help students look at what values are important to them and what they like to look for in a friend.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Help students articulate what they are feeling. It has built independence and confidence within the students to be able to deal with their emotions and handle situations they would normally come to the teacher for (minor friendship incidents)

“This kits was a fantastic way to scaffold conversations and discussions around resilience and things that are important to my students as individuals. They learnt that it was okay to make mistakes. They learnt about what was important to them and how they can figure out way to manage their emotions when things get too much.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Helped them understand what confidence means and how it affects us as humans and our well being. Students are able to be more supportive towards peers to help lift them up and also can acknowledge how we can be better people and friends to others.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The children learn't that even adults suffer from low confidence and self esteem. They feel more comfortable having discussions with me now and we can talk through their emotions now they realise they are not alone.

“I enjoyed this but found my students didnt grasp the learning as i expected. Mixture of reasons possibly timing and disruptions and teacher delivery meant this kit wasnt given the justice it deserved. I have learn't lots in the process and look forward to doing it with the older students i will have next year.”

Good to start getting my year 7s thinking about their mental health, self esteem and how they think and respond to others. Display was quite full on and beyond some

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Really effective in terms of discussion points and establishing a level of comfort around talking about deeper topics and inner conflicts and needs etc.

They have become more confident expressing this and articulating how they can recharge their own and others' batteries.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It gives a clear direction for a chat about what is happening as well as how it can be improved.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The reason why I got this kit was to link the key themes to what was happening in our lives. I wish I was able to do this kit Justice. I am hoping to do this next year with my new set of students.
