How has this kit impacted your class community during covid times? I'm not sure that it has made much impact during covid times in particular, since we are all back at school, however I think it is an important kit that would create impact during any time.

“We made a good start but just as we were starting to get into the 'Check my charge' part, I unexpectedly went into early labour at 34 weeks pregnant, so I had to abruptly finish teaching for the year. Prior to this, I really enjoyed getting to know the kids in a more personal way - particularly through the caring adult letters and also hearing about their own insecurities and how they see themselves. It was really enlightening because often we don't normally talk about that stuff in class. I was looking forward to ramping it up and spending more time on this kit and setting up the charging station, but then had to leave. The reliever did not feel confident continuing with the kit due to other end of year commitments. So I am really sorry I can't be more helpful with evaluating the kit in it's entirety. I did however appreciate the resource and all the little bits and pieces it came with. The kids quite enjoyed receiving their own notebooks too.”

How has this kit helped develop your student's self confidence? Students were confident to share their thoughts more openly by the end of term. They started by only writing down thoughts and then developed to having the confidence to speak about their thoughts.

“I only received this box in Term 4. While I made a start on it, I did not use all the resources as I felt these would be best used at the start of a year. The student journals look like a great resource. The box when students can place their feelings is very useful, especially when we were in the middle of a big project. it showed which school work aspects might have been more stressful than others.”
