How has this kit helped develop your student's self confidence? A big part I'm building self confidence has been around helping the kids to understand their own feelings, to feel validated, and learn strategies to keep these from becoming overwhelming and holding them back.

“Loved this kit! All my students got a lot out of it! The opening videos, where the people have to describe themselves to the artist were really powerful. It allowed for interesting conversations about how we see ourselves and how others see us. Most students talked about things they wished they could change about them and others would say how they wished they had their curly hair - it was really neat! The students really enjoyed their journal writing. They asked me to complete their 3 words I would use to describe them. I really enjoyed this part as their teacher, the students were really excited to see their comments and were really chuffed with them, I loved seeing that! We also had a compliments circle and everybody got involved and everyone got complimented - was so lovely!! Such a neat feel good kit!”

“The Dove Self-Esteem Kit tied in really well with our school virtues, Te Whare Tapa Wha and the Navigating the Journey Health programme we teach. There were lots of ways to connect the ideas throughout the day. Starting the day with the check-in was good way to connect with every student daily. The wall with all the cards provided some really great ideas for students to help themselves and support each other.”
