How has this kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? With support the students were honest in their communication.
How has this kit helped develop your student's self confidence? The class has 4 ESOL students who were very reluctant to express their ideas and share with others. They preferred to work quietly by themselves. The kit gave them an opportunity to be heard in a supportive way.
How has this kit impacted your class community during covid times? The year was very disrupted for the students as a class. We had several waves of COVID go through our school community and many absences. Adding to the I broke a bone in my foot and got covid resulting in me having nearly a term off..

How has this kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Because the check in was non-confrontational I found that the students really engaged with it. The display was very engaging. We will continue to use this.
How has this kit helped develop your student's self confidence? Having the videos really helped students to be aware of the issues a lot of young people are facing and to feel like they are not alone.

How has this kit impacted your class community during covid times? Yes! We found this helped a lot. Students were very disconnected and we used the kit at camp to rebuild their relationships.

“We took this kit to our Year 7&8 camp and based our whole camp theme on it. Camp activities were all centered around the kit and other supporting 'self' activities. There are some fantastic resources and ideas in this kit... I particularly loved the little tokens that kids put into the box on their way in or out the door. This was an awesome reflection of our work at the camp and how the kids were responding. It gave us a real insight into some private thoughts. I found the set up of the wall cards a bit hard to understand and I had to spend heaps of time trying to figure it out. I still don't really think I had it right. It needed some better set up instructions around this. All up though, the concept of the kit and the ideas were fantastic!”
