“Our students learned important skills through using this kit. Talking about how they felt became common practice in our classroom and trying to deal with those emotions in different situations. Sometimes it is challenging for children to communicate how they are feeling beyond happy, sad and using this kit broadened their understanding of their feelings.”

How has this kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Used at the end of the year - I believe this would be great for T1 as a getting to know each other with the wow factor!

How has this kit impacted your class community during covid times? As a class we were very close and open to discussions and sharing. This kit highlighted the importance of talking and sharing.

“This was a great kit with some really important key messages. I enjoyed the messages on the cards and the different colors for the way students were feeling. The mat was a cool visual cue and prop to approach the charging station. The little pockets were too much and too many to put on display. Something that was a challenge was the timing when receiving the kit, would like to have received it at the beginning of Term 1 so that it became a part of our beginning of the year getting to know you, treaty, expectations, communicating effectively, circle time, etc...”
