Rebecca- Rebecca was really eager to do the tasks after seeing them on my desk. "I liked doing circle time and talking about what we would do." Dixie "I liked the myself book, it was good to look at my circle of influence and seeing what others do for their self care battery".
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
Resolving conflict cards, Myself booklets. I like the idea of letter sheets but this required whānau buy in as well as students taking them home and bringing back so could be a mixed bag of who completed and returned them.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
It has set us up for the year and helped us to learn more about our classmates.

It has given them the language they may need as well as a clear understanding of how we might deal with certain issues.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience?
As the kaiako, if a student is struggling I can refer them to their booklet as a tool to support themself.

We all know each other better and ourselves better than we may have if we hadn't of done the kit.

I hope that it means we have an understanding and empathy for each other. I will reflect on this in Term 4 we everyone is a bit more tired and less tolerant.
