Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The students really like the self reflection at the beginning. Discovering what made them unique. The question prompts were really engaging too.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I hope that it has made the transition to high school smoother, and left them more confident in themselves.

I also liked showing kids from other classes how we use it." Nimrat. "It is easy to use and some of the card ideas are fun." Ranim "I have used the red a couple of times and the teacher always talks to me" James.

“This is probably the fourth or fifth time I have set this up in a class. It is a very well resourced kit and once you put in the initial work through the booklet the self-charging station runs itself. I like that the students use it when and if they need it.”

“As a SENCO, I was looking for a way of improving self regulation and self confidence across our school. I saw your kit in action in another school. I asked all staff to request a kit and use all aspects of it with their class. From this, we are also gathering data around the students who feel that they are in the red zone and then the use of the subsequent strategies that were suggested in the kit as well as strategies being used in mindfulness and brain breaks. So far… the process has been enlightening and we are able to continue to support our students in their journey to self regulation and self confidence that will lead to better learning. A fantastic resource and very timely. We are just developing the across school approach so we are on the journey.”

“My class have really enjoyed different aspects of this kit, in particular, looking at different feelings and why we have them... and they loved filling in the first page of the journal and seeing what three words their teacher used to describe them. I feel like they are looking at themselves a little differently, and are starting to recognise that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. The strength and boost cards were great for some class discussions. It was disappointing when some parents didn't complete the letters for their children, so I'd rethink how I would do this next time. I also found some of the videos were a bit beyond the maturity of the kids in my class.”
