Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them 1. I liked coming into class after lunchtime football games and writing down what had annoyed me. My teacher then helped sort out some of our problems. 2. It was fun filling out the journal because I could be creative but we didn't get time to finish it all.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them We had children open up about how they were feeling especially about the move to college for the Year 8's

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Funnily enough the first part about images and the booklet were the parts that was most impactful

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I'm hopeful that the children have kept their booklets and return to them during tough times as there was a lot of good material in them

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence A bit hard to say as the children have mainly moved onto college or are in a different class now. At the time it certainly generated conversations about resilience and body image but i am unable to say if the honesty has remained.,

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? I think it had an impact on me as a teacher of intermediate aged children and made me aware of what they were thinking and feeling on a more insightful level. Some of them really shared their thoughts and feelings which was fantastic.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? As above- my class has all moved onto new schools or a different class

“We really loved the whole kit and could see the intention behind it. Our children especially the girls got really into it but many of the Year 8 boys struggled to connect to the topic. Some of the boys enjoyed it but as a whole, it didn't work with the older boys. My other comment would be that we chose the wrong time of the year to do this. I think it would have had more of an impact in Term 2 when the class was settled. Year 7/8 in term 4 are off doing end-of-year activities during Term 4 and our programme was very disrupted.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The check in tokens have been a great way for me to touch base with my children in the morning to see how they are feeling.

“I found it too much to fit into my programme. The original blurb made it sound like something that could be easily incorporated but unfortunately in term 4, there were just too many components to the kit and I was unable to do it.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I am keeping the letters for them to take with them in Year 8 I think they will remember the discussions we had and hope they can use this to retain self esteem and resiliance during difficut times

“Our kids enjoyed this one and parents/grandparents commented on the letter and how good it was to be able to talk to their kids about times they remembered. Videos are always effective and powerful subject matters-good for teacher reflection too. The check in part is great as some kids slip throught the cracks and you can monitor how everyone is at the beginning of the day.”

“The My Self Confiedence kit has really helped my team build resilience in their students. The students enjoy checking in and many students have been seen applying the strategies offered on their cards when they check-in every morning. It has become a way of life in our team and students are becoming more indepedent with understanding and manging their emotions. We are using the mindfulness approach at our school and the self confidence kit complements this programme perfectly.”

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? They had some good open discussions about their different experiences and were willing to be vulnerable in sharing these with one another.

“I got this kit part way through last year and held onto it until the start of this year. I have been making my way through the journal with my new class and working towards using the booster cards for term 2. The students were really engaged with the journal sessions and they prompted some great conversations. The most positive thing, I think, was the self-check in tokens, which the students placed in the box at the start of every day. This has helped me to check in on more quiet students who might not otherwise have shared that they were having a bad day. I will continue to use this for the rest of the year, even though we are finished with the journals.”
