“Used in a Year 7/8 class. Set up all the cards but it took a lot of prep for the students to know how to use it. They also were hesitant to use some of the cards. They liked the journals and the letters from the parents were a hit. Some great info.”

I was more confident to get help in the playground from a duty teacher because I could say what the problem was-Jaxson

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them It really got me thinking about myself in a different way. I feel more confident speaking my mind and sharing my ideas. I understand myself better. I really liked the box with the tokens.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The whole kit was great and different parts were effective with different children. It was great to see the confidence increase as we went.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Increased self-confidence

Some days I needed to recharge my batteries and other days I helped others recharge their batteries." "The charging wall was fun to set up. We moved our library shelf so we had a place to stand and recharge. I liked the cards to tell me how I can help myself and others"

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The physical resources for the charging station were easy to use and a practical element for students.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think this kit will be remembered for teaching an awareness and understanding of our own self and how our confidence and/or feelings can change each day and throughout the day. The important part is taking time to be aware of these changes.

“The cards were good to use with the children and got them talking and some good confidence came from this. I included some extra lessons about self esteem and giving and receiving compliments. I would do this next time with older children.”
