Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The self-charge station, the booklet, the tokens, the videos. All were motivational, high interest resources that supported the learning

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? Realise that we are all going through a struggle. My struggle might look different from yours but you're not alone.

“This was a helpful and timely resource. There was a lot going on in our school already. Finding time to start the kit was challenging but it worked out in the end. Many underlying issues arose from the activities. Friendship issues, body shaming, moving onto Intermediate, fitting in....all these issues and a lot more is what our students are going through. The Self Confidence Kit has helped to address some of these issues and provide strategies for children to use.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The quilt meant that they focused on positive things and looking ahead, which made them also think about how far they had come and what is good about life now.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think it really helped them become emotionally aware without being self-absorbed in the negative spaces some were operating in.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence For some there were shared experiences and an opportunity to process things when feeling good about themselves.

I think it has helped them see that lots of people can feel like they are not confident, and they are not alone, and see what strategies and activities can help them when that kind of feeling starts to overwhelm, and they can see what they 'can' do as opposed to what they feel they can't.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The students are a little more understanding and kind towards each other (they weren't bad before, but it is definitely better).

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The students enjoyed the journey and are more aware of things they can do to help themselves and others.

“My class had to do this with my reliever as I had an accident. At the time they started doing the kit, there were some issues arising with a few kids who were very focused on themselves in a negative way. As they have progressed, there has been a shift in the way they are approaching things and the whole vibe is a lot more positive. They have focused on themselves but with a much more positive spin. It has been great to see them start to respond with gratitude too. The quilt 'pieces' were very insightful and helpful for me and my reliever. Thank you for such a great kit.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? My Body Sends Me Text Messages. Learning to understand that we have feeling and sometimes we can be angry but what we do with our feelings is important.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I think the most impactful part of the kit was talking about the impact of words but also tone of words. we spoke about the power words have on other people and also ourselves

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I hope the impact on the learners is the power of words and the impact they can have.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging (we used it as a check in/pause mat) mat was good used in conjunction with the self check in box for students to reflect on where they were at and how to move forward, and for them to be self aware to communicate with their peers also.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? How they're feeling impacts their learning and presence in the classroom and we can self reflect and communicate this, then we can support each other

“It wasn't quite what we thought it would be. It had some good resources that mainly appealed to the girls. The check in mat was useful and I can see how the books would be useful in other classes but our students really struggled to connect with these.”
