Students said they liked the routine of checking their charge in the morning. Sometimes it made them stop and think about how they were feeling coming to school. They liked thinking about how they appeared to others and how they are actually, especially at home. They learned a lot about their classmates.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why?
The activity where they talked about people's thoughts inside and how they looked on the outside - felt they could understand others better. My-Self Daily Check - being able to think about how they were starting their school day.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
The importance of students feelings when they come to school and how this impacts their day. They also have more empathy for each other.

Knowing themselves better helps them be more confidence. They also recognise that others in the class feel the same way they do.

They know they have control over how they feel and that there are adults around to help them when they need it.

It would have been better to do in Term 1 but it has kept our conversation going and tied in well with what we currently do with Zones of Regulation and use of Feelings cards.
