Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging (we used it as a check in/pause mat) mat was good used in conjunction with the self check in box for students to reflect on where they were at and how to move forward, and for them to be self aware to communicate with their peers also.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? How they're feeling impacts their learning and presence in the classroom and we can self reflect and communicate this, then we can support each other

“It wasn't quite what we thought it would be. It had some good resources that mainly appealed to the girls. The check in mat was useful and I can see how the books would be useful in other classes but our students really struggled to connect with these.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Y8 Boy: It was okay but I thought it was a bit girlie for me. Y7 boy: This was really good. My parent letter was cool. I liked talking about it with them - it helped me tell them how I've been feeling.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Hopefully they'll dig back into their understandings when life feels tough in the future.

“I used this with Y7 & 8 students. The Y8s found it a bit babyish, but the younger Y7s loved it and saw real benefits from it. The big growth came from students whose parents had bought into their roll. I think the ideal audience would be Y6 students. Thank you for this awesome, and well-put-together kit.”

“My children enjoyed the activities in this kit and loved having their own journals. It was hard to see the link between some activities to then move to the charging station. I completed this kit in Term 4 as my children really needed a pick me up in their self confidence to finish off the year and refresh on how to deal with their big emotions.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved using the counter and putting it in the right slot each morning. I realised that most of the time I feel ok, I don't really feel low and I only feel happy at really special times.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The journals because it got the children thinking and talking about the different aspects of their lives that affect their 'battery levels'.

“This kit has been amazing to help children check in with how they are feeling at the start of every day. It gives clear ideas of how to 'recharge' their batteries and to recognise when their batteries are getting low. Most importantly they are given the tools to know what to do to help recharge. The kids loved the personalised check in counters and the mat to step on when 'checking in'. They enjoyed filling in the journal and there was a lot of group chatting around the activities.”
