“Excellent unit. Students related well to the content, & enjoyed being able to 'check' in each day & reflect on how they were feeling. Many used the cards & reached out if they required support. We enjoyed the activities in the booklet, & many of the tasks helped to explain aspects of the topic well.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them A nice way to write some beautiful words about my family and the people in my life. I shared some moments in time with the people close to me.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The letter to someone close to you. Had a go at this in our office at one of our staff meetings, was a beautiful sharing moment where we had tears, laughter and something we could take away for ourselves.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The ability to share personal stuff, in a way that is not overwhelming.

“I got this kit thinking that it might reinforce the learning that we have done using the Zones of Regulation programme. Because it is quite a different programme, we haven't used it at the level that I was hoping. However, I do think it can be useful for students who are struggling to work through individually.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them The children expressed that they liked the 'check in' - they felt seen and it was a good way to engage each day. It set a good tone.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Daily check in, as above. Letter from parents as well, so children could see their positive attributes from cargivers' eyes as well.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Improved resilience, self confidence and regulation skills.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence When children feel 'seen' they are more empowered to be themselves and trust in who they are.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? We struggle with this in our class. A lot of children with low resilience. It did help some, but others are a bit tougher.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? For some it had a great impact and they seem to stand taller. Others, it seems to have been forgotten (unfortunately.)

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them It was fun and I learnt a lot about myself. I enjoyed some of the activities especially the one I did with my family about me.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The letter home worked really well for our age group. They loved sharing what their family / person had said and also they wrote a similar one home.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? FInding out about what their family put on the letters.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence Students have begun to speak out against other students not doing the right thing. We have been developing this in our class and the Self Cofidence kit gave them more skills to help with this.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? Students from my class have shared with the other senior class (Year 4/5) and some of them have been using the boost card also. Students are really thinking about our journey's before we come to school and are lot kinder to each other

“I introduced this kit to my class towards the end of term 3 and the engagement was instant. Students love using the charging station to think about their own self confidence and it was awesome seeing students being able to boost others up. I have some students who see a cousellor at school and she was impressed with what the students have been learning as part of the My Self-Confidence kit. Thank you so much for this fantastic resource”

“Lots of relevant ideas and activities. We used this with Year 4/5 groups split into gender groups as this a comfortable and safe setting for those concerned. It was not possible to follow the programme completely as written but adapted it to suit our students. The discussion cards worded well in a Circle Time setting and students were able to identify ideas that were relevant for them, their friends and the group as a whole.”
