Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I love the tokens and how we can put ours in and then look to the wall pockets and read some suggestions on how to charge our battery. I like being able to help my friends when my battery is full. I liked going to the wall pockets or writing a note to my teacher if I am in the red so she can chat to me and help me.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The check in tokens for a quick check in. The pockets for them and their friends to read and take part in independently. There was a lot of reading and discussion about the wall pockets they went to them when they needed support. Sometimes the classroom is really busy and it's hard to teach and be there for everyone right when they need you.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? If your battery is charged and you are feeling good pass it on / pay it forward to help someone else.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence They are more confident to share their feelings and what is going on with them to their friends and the letters to me were great. They feel comfortable passing me their red note to let me know quietly what is going on for them.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? When they felt down they were able to go to the wall and the boost mat to recharge. it helped them with different strategies to deal with the little problems they could solve themselves.

“The tamariki really enjoyed working through the different activities. The little booklet, letters and wall pockets were a real highlight. They really enjoyed how interactive the activities were. Lots of talking about charging their own batteries and I loved how it made them think about helping others out when your is full. They haven't really had much time on that perspective.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "I loved sharing my best moments and trying to help other kids." "Sometimes just reading through the yellow cards was enough for me to reset."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The cards, and the letter to a friend. Both of those things either inspired the kids or made them think of something other than their own woes.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It will stay as part of the kaupapa of our Whare Marino school concept around meeting the social and emotional needs of our kids, and of being trauma informed.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence Mostly by drawing attention to positive strategies and reducing the opportunity to dwell in gloom.
