The tokens that went into the box. The tamariki loved incorporating this into their morning routine and having something physical.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners?
Tamariki have their books that are kept in their tote trays to look back and reflect on when they are in the red area. They are able to use the tools they learnt in this kit to help themselves and pass that information onto others.
In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence
By using the red sheets that were kept in the red envelopes, tamariki were able to see that feeling low is normal and okay and gave them the tools to deal with it. It also helped them to cope with and support others who were low.

Tamariki now have the view that when someone reacts, it is for a deeper underlying reason. They are aware that there is some healing that needs to happen for that tamaiti to return to green there needs to be some extra awhi.
