“We have been working on this kit alongside other wellness resources. Out learners have gained confidence in discussing emotions and communicating effectively with their peers regarding their feelings. Our boys in particular have shown a sound understanding of regulating own emotions and de-escalating situations.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I enjoyed standing on the charging station as a way to slow down and think about what was going on for me. I had never really thought much about giving back to support others when I am felling really happy. It makes sense.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station and the letter. The letter was a real boost of confidence and will stay with them forever

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Having supportive adults in their lives and finding ways to support their well-being.

“This is the second time I have used the kit with a group of students. The class responded positively to the morning check-in and used the cards to find strategies to support their well-being. A highlight is receiving a letter from a special family member.”

“This kit helped students to become more aware of their own feelings and messages that our bodies send us. It also gives skills and strategies to use, because as students' became self aware they also learnt what can they do about it. It also helped students to understand that everyone is different and we all react in different ways. The cards were great, we worked on one card per day and discussed it and also discussed what actions we can take today to reinforce this, for example, 'share the load' (what does this mean and how do you do this).”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I think the self check will be the most impactful as its interactive.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Hopefully to make students more aware of their own self esteem, and that of their peers. To encourage students to support those with lower self esteem.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I loved doing the charging station. It helped me feel better about myself.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station, and the individual booklets for each student. They loved having their own private place to record their ideas, thinking and feelings.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They've picked up some new vocab and tools that they will hopefully take with them as they go forward.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence I think it's given them permission to feel low at times, which is liberating beacuase that's just reall life - ups and downs. The best thing is the tools they will take with them to help boost their confidence.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "I can let the teacher know when I'm not feeling very good and she talks to me about it. " "The cards are really fun and really interesting and it's good to talk about that stuff because sometimes people need to think about how they make you feel."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? I love the using the tokens in the morning so the students can let me know how they are feeling. It gave me a chance to work through some things before school started so they didn't hamper the learning quite so much as they would have.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Using the boost and shrink cards daily means the students have all had lots of opportunity to disucss and think about their feelings and their attitudes to others. Hopefully this will stay with them and they can build on it in future.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence I think the tokens gave them a chance to be confident enough to talk to me about issues they wouldn't have talked about before. And this helped them understand that it is good to open up about problems =.

“This kit was so timely for my class. There were starting to be quite a few little conflicts popping up and this kit put the students back on track .They became more self aware of their behaviour and the behaviour of others. It gave them some common language to talk about how they were feeling and what the could do about it.”

Another child is now able to look at themself in a more positive light and understand that they are better than they thought they were.
