Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "The tokens help with knowing how people are so my teacher can support them." "It helps with our confidence knowing that we can talk to someone when we are down." "It gives our teacher hints if we are not feeling that good."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? There is a small part on the first pages of the yellow booklet which talks about unconscious bias. My kids have really been thinking about this deeply, and using it to reflect on how they are treating other people. It has been an amazing tool, and I've loved hearing the kids say things like "I think that is you showing some unconscious bias, like they were talking about in the book!" and then watching them rethink how they are talking and judging people.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think it has made them much more self reflective. We used to have problems with kids being defensive about their actions but using the booklet has given them a chance to look at their "charge" and use that to explain why they might be behaving in a certain way. It means the defensiveness has greatly reduced.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence Talking about how strengths can become weaknesses and weaknesses can become strengths has really challenged their ways of thinking.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? My Year 5s have shocking resilience. It was very helpful to work on this directly and discuss what it looked like for us and our families.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? It has made us more willing to think about how people's "charge" may affect their behaviour. It has made us more empathetic and kind to one another. Every morning someone will ask me how many people are in the "green," they say they then know how they should act in class, more calm and softer if we have a lot of yellow and a bit more risk taking if it is more green.

“Going into term 3, my class of Year 5s was starting to really waver in their self-confidence. The Dove Self Confidence School Kit couldn't have arrived at a better time! They greatly enjoyed filling in their booklets, having a chance to think and talk about what is important to them and they were always quick to remind me to check the tokens!”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Easy to check in and I liked the charging mat. Students also enjoyed the booklet and being able to understand that everyone has times when they need to recharge.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The most powerful component was definitely the letter from the parents. One child was reduced to tears because their parents wrote such a beautiful letter.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That their families cherish them and I told them to keep hold of those letters to re read when life seems tough.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence The kit alongside the classroom programmes has impacted confidence. There are new tools the students have in their kete to assist them with maintaining confidence and self worth.

“As always, I was very impressed with the quality of this kit. It is stunning and looks terrific in the classroom. In the past, I have found this kit highly engaging and interesting for Year 7/8s but have realised that that may be because I have always used in a full primary. This year I am in a secondary school environment and the 7/8s weren't as interested or motivated by it, unfortunately. This is not a reflection of the kit itself but may be more about the fact that in a secondary situation, 7/8s are treated as secondary students not as primary/intermediate students. I highly recommend this kit in a full primary setting, but that is probably as far as I would go with it.”

It told me how I was feeling and also then other people could understand how I was feeling. When I filled out the red charge sheet it helped me know what I needed to feel better. Student 2: I liked the tokens, it felt nice to show how I feel.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The students found the tokens a great way to be aware of how they were feeling, and how they could take charge of changing these if needed

“I was so excited for this kit in our yr 5/6 class. The students were very excited to see the charging station go up and get their own tokens. From there we found the content a little above their current level of understanding and I had to simplify quite a few things. Some parts were too tricky to simplify. The class enjoyed the check in times but many children couldn’t read and/or didn’t understand the charging station cards.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The self check: Students loved doing this beginning and end of day and it was really helpful in recognising the moods of students so I could alter lessons and recognise what might need to be different to benefit those students who weren't feeling that great.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That not everyone is the same, some people are naturally confident others need to work on it, but the classroom is a safe place for everyone and talking to others about how your feeling can boost your mood.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The token system. They can use these without having to rely on literacy skills that they might not have developed yet. The thinking about the prosocial behaviours and the 'Super powers" lifting the mana with some.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Knowing that all sorts of people care - friends, family, peers, teachers...
