Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them The 'You're more beautiful than you think' video helped me to stop being so negative about my flaw and embrace me as me. " The red zone was an area that I needed to work on, and the skills taught in these lessons helped me to tell my teacher or show my teacher that I was upset and needed some time to get back into the green zone."
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The videos as my students are quite visual. I also found the 'check my charge' components, the daily check in cards, getting the students to identify their 'superpower'. The reason being is that we were focusing on puberty at the time which was a very intense topic. I felt that this kit was a great support when teaching puberty as the tasks were a fun and interactive way to teach self esteem and being okay with being themselves.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? To focus on the positive things about themselves.
In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence The check my charge helped me as a teacher identify those students that were in the red zone before they even came to school and help find strategies to support them through the rough days.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? The red zone sheet helped with my discussions with the tamariki that struggled with resilience. Referring back to the strategies also helped my students use the same strategies and questions with one another. I also ended up with covid and the kids had a reliever (many don't usually cope with this change). Several of my students reminded them of strategies that they could use to pull themselves out of the red zone and be more resilient with the change.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? We have camp next term so have included lots of team building activities. We have two students that struggle to manage with their behaviour but I found that their self esteem was incredibly low, the come to school angry or upset. This kit had videos and tasks that helped the other students in my class recognise that these two boys home lives aren't great and to show some compassion or befriend them.
What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? I found that I need to do this kit every year. It def was a game changer and helped me to identify why several of my boys struggle with resilience and it came down to low self esteem about themselves. I have many girls with anxiety and a lot of this is due to social media, and caring about what their peers think.
The Dove Self Esteem kit is a brilliant way for your students to look at themselves how amazing they are as an individual. I felt that the videos in the kit 'Change on thing' and 'You're more beautiful than you think' were incredibly powerful (especially for my girls that struggle with self worth). The charging station was a huge hit and each morning it was great to see the students do their self daily check. I recommend everyone doing this kit especially around the same time as teaching puberty.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I liked reading the letter my Dad wrote to me. It was a nice way to start the weekend. S1. I really liked reading the thought cards. S2.
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The thought cards were a great teaching tool. Being able to select which one/s suited a situation was impactful. The personal letter was also great as some students don't have a positive view of themselves and reading positive statements from a loved one about them was wonderful.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That there are people who love them and believe in them.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? Opening up opportunity to have focussed discussions.
The kit worked perfectly in parallel with teaching Health, through Navigating the Journey, to the Year 7 and 8 cohort. The group has had a challenging year with many being directly impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle. Using the Self Confidence programme provided an opportunity to discuss and change the internal monologue some students have developed since.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The students are more positive and open to their feelings and those of others and can relate the right emotion to things that have happened.
What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The use of a personalised tool sheet with strategies that work for them, and can refer to at any time has helped students regulate their emotions and take responsibility for their feelings.
My class loved this kit. We would use the tokens and place them in the box at least twice a day. This led to great discussions about things that make us feel certain emotions and relating it to our behaviour. Students chose to share their thoughts if they wanted to. We also looked at things we can do to help us be in the "great' zone. We used the pouches to put a token onto so we could see across the class how we were feeling.

This School Kit has been amazing with my Year 5/6 class. We chose some of the cards to fully focus on and set up the display. The children used the charging mat daily and also their tokens. We're used to using tokens as our children receive tokens for their positive behaviour and use these to vote for particular things. We used the cards to focus on each for a few days or a week to fully discuss the theme and how it looked in our class. What we were doing and what we would improve on, We call this Stars and Stairs.

We really enjoyed this kit in our Year 4 double space. We did find that we had to comb through the content to find what was suitable as some of it seemed a bit mature for our tamariki. This may have been because we did it early in the year though.

This Kit has been great for children to self-reflect on their day and how they have been feeling. Has great links to zones of regulation and has reinforced many of those concepts. Students often will stand and read the cards deep in thought.

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them II like not having to speak about why I am mad, because i just have to tick the things i need help with.“The class wall display was easy to use when my teacher showed me how”
Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Red cards for my 3 boys to use because they didn’t have to talk right away, but I as the teacher could still read their cards and talk with them about it later on.Using the green cards to pay it forward when they were feeling good was a great part of this kit.
What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? That all their emotions are important no matter what, and that they will be heard

The resources for this kit were great! The class display is great too. I enjoyed doing this kit because it supported what i had already been doing in my class with zones of regulation and the use of the six bricks resource. Children were able to use the kit to self regulate when they were mad (3 boys) and when they were happy and wanted to pay it forward, which was really neat to see. Using the red cards when boys were mad was great because it meant that they could get a card and write down or tick what was going on for them when they were ready and i just had to follow it up later by reading the cards. This system allowed boys to tick more than one thing and it also offered them a solution sometimes, or to speak on their behalf when they had no words to speak. I will be using this system from the start of the new school year along side zones of regulation and the six bricks programme.
