What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? The classroom community is rather diverse in the needs of the students. A large number are requiring emotional support. This kit has helped others see and have empathy for the struggles of otheres.

“The kit provided high quality resources to support my students to develop deeper understandings of how they can support their own well-being. Two resources that worked well were the 'Charging Mat' as they children used this like a wireless battery charger to stop and give themselves time to calm and recharge. They also used the token box to let me know that they wanted some support. This was a great way of asking for supporting without having to use words to connect.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The cards because they gave the students that time to be able to read and then work out how they could do what the card advised.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I am important, valued and loved.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence It has helped with understanding that we are all different and sometimes we have good days and bad days but we are in charge of making each day ok.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The recharge mat was the most useful. Students were able to recharge themselves as they felt which helped them to feel in control.

“My Year 7 and 8 Students have thrived with the utilisation of our Dove Self Confidence Wall. Our students have enjoyed the recharge mat in particular. It is wonderful to see students accessing the wall independently and working in small groups to discuss challenges and support needed.”

“My class enjoyed the journals and it is something we have reflected on throughout the term. I thought some of the concepts like the charge mat would be cool and the class would enjoy that but it ended up being "too childish" (y8 student). There are some aspects like the how are you feeling cards that we are going to integrate into our health lessons next term. Overall it was good.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The booklet was fantastic at getting the students to self-reflect which can be really hard at their age. I think this really got them thinking.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? I think it has started to make them more self-aware which will hopefully keep going.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence I think it has helped them to think about the good things they have in their lives, especially their network of people who care/can help them.

“The My Self Confidence kit is beautifully made. I think this would be perfect for Y4, Y5 or Y6 classes. I used and loved the booklets and the self-check-in box (this is an awesome idea). The wall attachments were a little bit confusing and I wish they had come with clear instructions as they look really visually appealing. Overall, it was great to give the kids a chance to reflect on how they are doing and I think with clearer instructions it would be fantastic.”
