Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I didn't know what my dad thought of me. It meant a lot to read this. I thought the police sketch video was really interesting because we do this and this is a good reminder to look at ourselves kinder.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station. I explicitly used it with one class but all of my classes started casually using it even without guidance or explanation

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them I really enjoyed getting a letter from my Dad, I usually only get texts and it was really good to read what he wrote about me. I really enjoyed the resilience cards, it made me thinking about what I can do to be more confident..

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The resilience cards and the daily check ins, my pupils are in class in the morning enjoy seeing me do this also.

How has this kit helped develop student resilience? Pupils who received letters from parents were chuffed to read them. Those that did not receive one from their parents had a hand written one from me. A lot of them developed good self-reflection and confidence from this.

What impact has this kit had on your classroom community? There are 9 girls and 18 boys in my class and it took a while for the boys to enter into the spirit of things but I have heard elements of the discussion and topics we covered mentioned even now in the classroom.

“Thank you so much for this kit. The letters from the parents was a definite highlight and novelty for a lot of them too! They yellow booklet and template was a great scaffold for ideas and the video reminded me of the ones we used to do where you draw your idea of a scientest. This a great activity to profilef a NZer and then themselves and led in beautifully to our unit based on their identity.”

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It will have them thinking about their own feelings and emotions a lot more, and how they present themselves- some kids i do notice act a little different and carry themselves differently

“I enjoyed working with my students on this school kit, it opened their eyes to the key ideas of self confidence and beliveing in themselves. I do think there could be more to help carry this forward, nd really sink in some of the messages within the kit- at times after we had finished working on the kit, i felt that momentum had been lost that was there at the beginning.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them Checking in each day helped my teacher see how I am feeling and know if I needed a chat - without me having to make a big deal about things (Year 8 girl). I like seeing who people's positive role models were (Year 6 boy)

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The tokens - still being used each day. Charging station - still being used. Gives students a space that thy know they can go with no. questions asked and no interruptions from others.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? Reinforcing that all emotions are Ok and emotions can change. Knowing that we have people that care about us and are role models for all sorts of reasons.

“Our Year 6-8 students used the Dove Self COnfidence Kit alongside our first term involved in the Mitey Mental Health Education programme. The two fit together seamlessly! Students enjoyed developing vocabulary about their emotions and were able to identify how their emotions can change throughout the day. We enjoyed looking at how thing impact the way we feel about ourselves and the strategies that we can put in place.”

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The charging station - breathing components - have used this technique for many years through other initiatives. The notebooks were a big hit with the children making them think about themselves in a deeper way.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? They will purposefully look to recharge themselves as well as recharge others when they are low.

In what ways has this kit helped develop student confidence Some children are more open to sharing in groups and asking to play in the playground. Some children have shared in front of the class that hadn't in the past.
