“I used it when we returned week 5 Term 4, having half a class of Y6's on alternate days. The students were engaged and couldn't wait for the next day they were back at school to complete the next activity. I have used it before and think it is a valued resource.”
“It has been awesome to see the progression of the power it up kits year after year. Students were engaged and motivated to dive straight into this kit. It was a great way to make cross-curricular links between Science and Writing as well as the awesome questions that came from being hands on - the pathways these questions then led us down was exciting. “This was an amazing Kit! It was simple to use and the students really enjoyed learning about circuits, conductors, insulators and more.
It was disappointing that our kit was not fully stocked - we were missing the buzzers for the alarm page which I was unaware of and as we started later in the term I decided it wasn't worth the fuss to ask for some to be sent.
However, my students were able to use their new knowledge of circuits to draw their own circuits to add lights to a piece of artwork. They were so excited to show off their work on Parents Evening.
All in all a cool piece of learning and I would gladly teach it again.”
