Tell us about an unexpected outcome from having used this kit. Building oral language around their shopping experiences.

“The children were excited to open the tiles and use them to support their literacy. They used them to explore the alphabet and make words they are learning. They created sentences about trips they make to the supermarket. After having teacher support they were keen to use them independently.”

Tell us about an unexpected outcome from having used this kit. Great high interest activity for those that needed to consolidate their letter sound knowledge. Having the tiles, fishing rods &; Disney characters made it like a 'new' exciting experience.

“Awesome resource! Kid's loved to fishing rods &; mats, great for turn taking and coordination. Resources could be adapted for those that were learning to recognise letters &; their sounds to those that were ready to write words &; sentences. Children also made up lots for their own games with letters &; Disney pics. Loved it”

“The students had a fab time opening all the tiles and then we made posters with the letters we got and created alliteration sentences with pictures! A great way to explore sounds and letters for Year 1 and 2's! Thank you :)”

“Kids loved it right from the start, unwrapping the tiles to see what was next - enjoyment for all. Awesome to use as a spelling resource, kids loved seeing who could make the most words or even who could make a sentence. Loved using the fishing rods and making lists.”

“My year 0 and 1 students loved playing with the tiles. They had Lots of association with supermarket shopping with their parents.they were able to work collaboratively and really had fun with these tiles. Great practice with phonics. My kids loved this literacy set, my first one so thank you!”
