“Great kit. Tamariki love the tiles, fishing rods and games. They regularly choose to use this kit during play based learning time. Love how the kit encourages literacy development as well as social skills like cooperation and negotiation.”
“In our class we used the Disney Tiles during Reading Time. I set it up as a Reading Activity. The tiles were put in a basket with the magnetic fishing rods. I created laminated cards with high frequency words on them. In pairs students take turns to find the letters they need to make their high frequency words. I don't like the fact that the tiles are only in capital letters as I think for junior students this can be confusing.”
“My class has absolutely loved this set. It was my first school kit but I am stoked with the new resource we have now added to our literacy station. Thank you!!”
“My class enjoyed using the fishing rods to pick up letters to make their spelling words! Even though my class knew their letters already, they use the sandwich sheet to learn new foods.”
“The students loved receiving the schoolkit and we opened the tiles yesterday. They organically wanted to share the different ways that they could use the tiles to help their learning. This writing lesson then turned into a statistic lesson with creating a graph, comparing and contrasting etc. Looking forward to the rest of this unit with the limitless learning opportunities!”
“My class was super excited to discover our kit had Disney tiles inside. We have loved using the fishing rods, bingo cards, shopping lists and sandwiches during our literacy rotations. We have even purchased some of the scrabble boards to make words. We secretly enjoyed swapping tiles and completing two sets of characters too! Thanks #schoolkit and #countdown for our amazing kit!”
“We are having so much fun using the letter tiles- we have them out during literacy time, a great way to practise spelling words and make sentences. We are getting lots of tile donations too!! Looking forward to integrating them into our shopping experiences during maths time along with all our little shop toys.”
