“Kids have had a ball opening the tiles so far. Images on the back are familiar and engaging, letters on the back are great too we have a lot of activities planned for these! Would be great from a learning point of view if the letter connected somehow to the Disney image. Thank you Countdown!”
“Would love to share photos of how excited my children have been to play with the Disney Word Shopping kit. I had a student this morning bring some in from home to add to our class set. Some children were spelling out items from the shopping list cards, others picked one item from the shopping list and had a race to make a sandwich (e.g HAM,) children raced to collect the letters- first student with all the letters was the winner. Really great fun for letter identification, spelling and using their key competencies of managing themselves, relating to others, and understanding symbols and texts.”
“You have mentioned about getting letters from people raised on a dairy farm as part of our kit. The kit we got makes no reference or mention of Dairy farm nor of the Dairy NZ Disney Tiles. We got a Countdown Disney Tiles Kit which is about letter recognition and making crazy sandwiches and fishing for letters and letter bingo.
The kit itself appears to have a good range of activities that will provide fun. Although it is a kit which would be much more suited at the beginning of the year with letter and letter sound recognition. However next week when my class will get to use the activity I am sure they will still have fun, and it will great to use next year as well with my new year 2 class.”
“This is the best kit yet! My kids loved unwrapping the tiles. All 150 unwrapped in under a minute. Super frantic but lots of fun. Kids explored it with me watching and they played with it for a full hour. They tried all the different activities, made up some of their own and moaned whem the bell rang to go out to play.
